Going with Fedora Core

It is official. I am going with Fedora Core 5. It has the everything
I need, and I have been using it extensively the past few years. I will
probably try out Ubuntu in a virtual machine to check it out, but I
am not really in the mood to learn a new distribution at the moment.

FC5 has the latest version of KDE, a solid version of Ruby, and all the
development tools that I like best.

Now I just need to get all of the data on my Gentoo box backed up so
I can wipe it clean and install FC5.
