VMware 6.5

Earlier this week, VMware released version 6.5 of their desktop
virtualization software. A while back, I reported that I was having
some issues with Workstation 6.0 running on Fedora 9. I am happy to
report that all my problems have been fixed in this release. I no longer
have to connect to my virtual machines using rdesktop. :-D

This new version also comes with a fabulous new feature called Unity.
Unity allows you to run applications from a virtual machine instance
side-by-side with the applications on the host desktop. This means I can
build BizTalk applications in Visual Studio while browsing a blog post
in Firefox without toggling between desktop environments. Kudos to the
VMware Workstation for this release.
