Zola

My free time was limited this week, but I managed to spend a little time looking at the Zola static site generator. Recently I learned that Zola has native support for internal backlinks. This is a wiki-esque feature that makes it easy to see which pages in your site link to other pages in your site. I am very interested in leveraging this feature as part of a digital garden site. Backlinks make it easier to find related content in your digital garden by following links from one page to the next, and it creates those links automatically in both directions. Unfortunately I got hung up trying to get a Zola theme installed correctly, so I haven’t had a chance to evaluate the backlinks feature yet. Hopefully I will next time I have some free time to spare.
