Notes
Note taking is harder than it looks. The purpose of taking notes is to support my project work. The notes are a means to an end, not the end itself. However, it’s very easy to fall into the trap of taking notes for the sake of taking notes and feeling like you have accomplished something.
I need to do a better job of limiting the amount of content I consume, especially content that isn’t related to my projects. Otherwise it’s too easy to burn time reading articles or watching videos instead of making tangible progress on actual projects. Tools like Readwise can exacerbate this problem with how easy they make it to capture content. This is something I need to keep in mind as I do my own research.
