Blog vs. Digital Garden
For the past year, I’ve been (poorly) trying to update both this blog and a separate digital garden. The blog was supposed to be a journal of sorts, while the digital garden would be structured notes. Ignoring my overall lack of updates, I find myself struggling at times with where to put content. Since I’m not exactly updating here on any resembling a consistent schedule, I’m wondering if it makes sense to just stop worrying about having a journal and instead focus on the digital garden side of things.
Instead of journal updates, new and incomplete thoughts could be recorded in garden notes with special tags. If it’s an idea I decide to develop further, the tags would be updated to indicate it has become a more mature piece of writing.
I haven’t decided to go down this path yet, but I figured typing out my thoughts would help stimulate my thinking a bit.
