Bullet Journal
Over the past four years, I’ve been slowly separating my work from my Bullet Journal. In today’s corporate world, with all the concerns around intellectual property (IP) and AI, I feel it is wise to maintain a strict separation between work and personal life.
I still record some basic information about my daily activities and tasks in my notebook, but anything that could be classified as company IP I only store in one of the digital systems provided by my employer. Similarly, with all the security and compliance tooling insalled on my work computer I don’t do anything personal on it.
I even keep a separate paper notebook that I use to take notes during meetings. This way if something were to happen and my work materials were subpoenaed, I wouldn’t lose access to any of my personal stuff.
The Bullet Journal method recommends keeping everything in one notebook, but if your work involves your employer’s IP I don’t think the risk is worth it.
