How to Freaking Find Great Developers By Having Them Read Code

This article discusses the idea of having candidates read code during an interview and determining what it does vs. attempting to write code on the spot. I think this is an intriguing idea as a candidate can’t fake the ability to read and understand code, but at the same time this helps to reduce the stress and strain on the candidate. This technique looks like it would also give some insight to the candidate’s thought process and ability to solve problems. This is something I would like to trial in my own interviews with candidates.
